LLOG’s Delta House Reaches 80.000 bpd

LLOG Exploration Company’s Delta House floating production system (FPS) at Mississippi Canyon 254 in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico has achieved its nameplate oil capacity of 80,000 barrels of oil per day.

The American independent deepwater exploration company LLOG said that it recently brought the ninth well on production several weeks ahead of schedule and that two additional wells would be brought on production to the FPS in 2016.

According to the company, the FPS nameplate capacity includes 50% redundancy of key rotating equipment. The FPS is designed for peaking capacity of 100,000 barrels of oil per day and 240 million cubic feet of gas per day with no redundancy of key rotating equipment.

The Delta House FPS was built, installed, and put on line in three years. First production was achieved in April of 2015.

Scott Gutterman, President and CEO of LLOG Exploration, said: “The startup and ramp up of the Delta House FPS has gone exceptionally well. The FPS uptime has averaged in excess of 99% since production was initiated which we believe is best in class for similarly sized facilities.”
