International Offshore Rigs Count Still Down

Baker Hughes, one of the world’s largest oilfield services companies, reported on Monday that the international offshore rig count for November 2015 has dipped when compared to the same period last year and October 2015 rig count.

According to Baker Hughes’ report, the international offshore rig count for November 2015 was 259, down 11 from the 270 counted in October 2015, and down 82 from the 341 counted in November 2014.

The international rig count for November 2015 was 1,109, down 2 from the 1,111 counted in October 2015, and down 215 from the 1,324 counted in November 2014.

The average U.S. rig count for November 2015 was 760, down 31 from the 791 counted in October 2015, and down 1,165 from the 1,925 counted in November 2014.

The average Canadian rig count for November 2015 was 178, down 6 from the 184 counted in October 2015, and down 243 from the 421 counted in November 2014.

The worldwide rig count for November 2015 was 2,047, down 39 from the 2,086 counted in October 2015, and down 1,623 from the 3,670 counted in November 2014.

The worldwide offshore rig count for November 2015 was 290, down 105 rigs when compared to the same period last year, and down 14 rigs when compared to October rig count.
